NOTE FROM THOMAS EDWARD COYNE

We were blessed with a loving, caring mother and a father who was more than willing to work at some of the hardest and most dangerous jobs, including being a sandhog in tunnels under Lake Michigan and making steel in both Ohio and Indiana to support his family. Mom was the disciplinarian in the family. Tom Coyne would not have raised his hand to one of his children to save his life. Born in that distant valley in County Galway; immigrating to the United States; working hard all his life, Tom Coyne lived his faith and is a lasting role model for his sons and daughters.

Two articles by John Coyne relative to his parents and experience growing up in Midlothian.
