JOHN COYNE WAS BORN ON AUGUST 4, 1895. IN FEBRUARY 1915, HE EMIGRATED TO ENGLAND. AT THE END OF THE YEAR, HE THEN IMMIGRATED TO SHARPSVILLE, PA, AND STAYED WITH RELATIVES, CATHERINE AND PETER CONNELLY. IN 1917, HE MOVED TO YOUNGSTOWN, OH FOR ABOUT EIGHT YEARS, AND THEN MOVING ON TO CLEVELAND. IT WAS THERE HE MET AND MARRIED ON JUNE 2, 1920 CATHERINE DERRIG, WHO WAS A NATIVE OF CROAGHAN, COUNTY MAYO. HE BEGAN WORKING IN THE BOOMING STEEL INDUSTRY, RETIRING IN 1953. THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN MARY CATHERINE AND JOHN PATRICK.
John Coyne was born on August 4, 1895. In February 1915, he emigrated to England. At the end of the year, he then immigrated to Sharpsville, PA, and stayed with relatives, Catherine and Peter Connelly. In 1917, he moved to Youngstown, OH for about eight years, and then moving on to Cleveland. It was there he met and married on June 2, 1920 Catherine Derrig, who was a native of Croaghan, County Mayo. He began working in the booming steel industry, retiring in 1953. They had two children Mary Catherine and John Patrick.
